(Aurora, Ind.) – St. Mary’s School in Aurora is benefiting from a grant from the Dearborn Community Foundation.
Aurora mayor Donnie Hastings Jr. and city manager Guinevere Emery presented the $2,800 grant to the Catholic school. The two city officials helped the school in obtaining the DCF grant.
St. Mary’s principal Bob Brookbank says the money will purchase new science materials, including robotics equipment.
“The equipment will enable the students to explore scientific concepts with a ‘hands on’ approach. The robotic equipment will be introduced during the 2019/2020 school year. Emphasizing engineering principals and allowing students to use imagination and technology concepts,” said Brookbank.
